Survivors of Suicide Loss

(SOSL)

Survivors of Suicide Loss (S.O.S.L) is an adult only program for those who have endured the death of a significant person in their life to suicide.

Our cycles vary dependent on interest. This group meets for six consecutive weekly sessions. We require an enrollment of at least 4 participants for a group to begin.

On group nights we share a time of coffee, tea and snacks with conversation. We utilize a curriculum that is backed by the grief model created by our founders. Group activities might include drawing, painting, journaling, making crafts while sharing thoughts and feelings. Groups are overseen by our Clinical Advisor and Program Director and led by trained volunteer facilitators.

All grief support groups are offered FREE of charge through the generosity of The Hope & Healing Place Supporters and Fundraising Partnerships.

Our Program Director answers calls on our Information & Referral Line (806-371-8998 Ext.4) from those who have experienced a death, as well as from family, friends, co-workers and other concerned individuals who want guidance on how to support the bereaved. If we do not have a program that suits your needs, our staff will work to refer you to an appropriate group in the area as we seek to not duplicate other services that are offered.
